Self Care Pain Management Project

The Leonard Schanfield Research Institute (LSRI) at CJE Senior Life developed and tested the original web site for My Pain Management as part of the Self Care Pain Management Research Project. Founded in 1995, the Leonard Schanfield Research Institute (LSRI) is dedicated to stimulating, fostering, and communicating new knowledge in the field of aging, both for the benefit of CJE SeniorLife clients and for older adults and their families throughout Chicago and the metropolitan area and across the country. As part of the Self Care Pain Management Project, the content for the My Pain Management modules was compiled and created by Carol H. Drengenberg RN, MA, LCPC, Staff Support Counselor, Midwest Palliative and Hospice Care Center. The modules were adapted for use on the My Pain Management web site by the Leonard Schanfield Research Institute of CJE SeniorLife.
